Yes, the jack on our device is standard 3.5mm, and can accomodate any standard headset. The microphone is integrated into the body of the device.
In order to hear music, your phone must support A2DP. Some phones have MP3 players, but the music has to be played though headphoens that are plugged into the device. Please check the specifications of your device to ensure it supports A2DP. Further, some phones force you to pair the device with the AXBlueSteram twice, once for hands-free, and once for Stereo Bluetooth.

The Stereo Bluetooth profile does not use the microphone, this is a bluetooth limitation. In order to use our device for two-way communication, you must use the Bluetooth HPF profile (Bluetooth Handsfere Headset)
Mac OS X Tiger does not support A2DP or AVRCP. There are some third party applications that reportidly will make it work with Tiger, however OS X Leopard is planned to support these functions out of the box. Some bluetooth devices are unable to switch smoothly between bluetooth profiles, however if you contact the manufacturer, they may have a patch you can install on your phone/device. In the interim, you must manually switch the call back and forth for it to work.
Some of the first BlueStreams to ship had firmware on it that did not allow the user to change the microphone sensitivity. You can update the firmware by going to the downloads section and acquiring the program.. (Coming Soon)
