When viewing system information there may be no information present for the hard disk drive. This also prevents the user from initializing the hard disk drive and writing data to the NAS.

This issue may occur if any of the following conditions are true:

  • You are running firmware version 1.37 and earlier
  • After updating from firmware 1.37 or earlier you did not Restore Factory Defaults
  • You installed a hard drive larger than 200GB

Or, the unit hard drive may be defective.

1. Check your firmware version. If you are running firmware 1.37 or earlier, you need to update your firmware AND restore factory defaults after the update has been completed.

2. If the hard disk status is not present after you have Restored Factory Defaults, you will need to contact TRITTON Technologies for further tehnical assistance.
