When trying to open the storage device from within Network Neighborhood on a Windows 98, or ME computer, you may be prompted with the following message:

You must supply a password to make this connection:
Resource: \\computername\IPC$

--or--

Could not connect to the network device. Access denied.

 

 

The Wired NAS, Server Appliance, and Web server do not support Microsoft Windows 98SE or Millenium. These operating systems are now considered a legacy product by Microsoft and are no longer supported.

 

 

We recommend an upgrade to the latest operating system.
