Attaching the Warp Drive
1. Turn your computer on and boot into Windows.
2. Plug the power to the Warp Drive and wait for it to spin up. This may take up to a minute, depending on the drive.
3. Connect the USB cable to the Warp Drive first and then to the computer.
4. You should see a new icon appear in the system tray and the drive should appear in the Device Manager and Disk Management.
Detaching the Warp Drive While Your Computer is Still Running
1. Use the "Stop and Eject Hardware" icon in the system tray.
2. Your computer should tell you that you can safely remove the drive from the computer now. You may then unplug the drive's power from the outlet or turn the AC switch on the unit off.
Detaching the Warp Drive After the Computer is Off
1. Once your computer has been shut off, you may safely unplug the data cable from the computer.
2. You may also unplug the power cable for the Warp Drive or turn the AC switch to the OFF position.
NOTE: It is recommended to turn the Warp Drive off while not in use to increase the hardware life span.
